We’ve spent some time talking about manifestation in many capacities - first in general, then surprise money, and today we will talk about setting intentions behind our manifestations.

What is the ego?

The ego is the part of you that believes in separation (from Source energy). Its main goal is to keep you safe. An unhealthy ego can be quite fearful, and it’s the part of us that can keep us stuck if unchecked. It can believe in inferiority/superiority, lack, and external satisfaction. But by and large, the ego can be the part of us that dominates, looks down upon, judges, and shames. We all have egos, but the ego is not the truth of who we really are.

Intentions and Manifestations

When we want to manifest something, it’s important to be aware of our intentions behind the manifestation. Intentions carry a powerful purpose. They set the tone for the things we are about to manifest. Your intentions influence the entire process and outcome of receiving what you are asking for.

Further, intentions for your manifestations can be set through the ego or through the soul.

Ego intentions vs. Soul intentions

The ego will want to set manifestation intentions based on fear and external satisfaction. For example, if you are wanting to manifest something, the ego will believe that once you have the manifestation, you’ll be happier, bigger, better, stronger, more superior, etc. The ego also has little regard for others.

When we look at patriarchal structures, such as capitalism, or really any big system that has ultimately failed Mama Earth and its inhabitants, you can see that the intentions behind these companies were set by the unconscious ego. These were intentions of greed, lack, scarcity, and exploitation of the planet, its resources, and its people.

We are moving away from ego intentions as a whole. We’ve seen, when unchecked, what destruction can be done.

The soul’s intentions contrast the ego’s completely. The soul’s intentions are loving, kind, and cares about the wellbeing of others, animals, and the planet.

The soul, however, will only want to do things for the greatest and highest good. Meaning that which is fun and beneficial for you would be the same for others. In that way, everybody, including Mama Earth, benefits.

Why set manifestation intentions from your soul?

The soul wants us to be highly intentional, because ultimately it is the one who is here to learn from life. Because of its largely positive ideals, as well as its connection to Source energy (the energy of benevolence), setting intentions from your soul can be so much more powerful, beneficial, and lasting for your manifestations vs. setting intentions from the ego.

The soul helps you grow into the person you’ll become to receive your greatest manifestations. Using the power of your mind (in alignment with your soul), you can divinely design your life to fulfill your wildest dreams.

In this post, I am going to list a few examples of different manifestations, with a breakdown of what the intentions would look like coming from the ego vs. the soul.

Romantic Relationships:

• Ego intentions for relationships:

  • Gaining “status”

  • “Fitting in” with society’s expectations

  • Making the person “whole”

  • Fulfilling feelings of lack (not good enough, not smart enough, not desirable enough — UNTIL you find the relationship)

  • Sense of superiority 

  • Afraid of being alone

• Soul intentions for relationships:

  • Love, intimacy, connection, fulfillment

  • Mutual spiritual growth 

  • Interdependence and divine sovereignty

  • Realizing a purpose greater than each individual’s purpose

  • A really delicious and growth filled experience

Deciding to Have Children:

• Ego intentions for having children:

  • Everyone else is doing it

  • Wanting to “prove” that you can be a better parent than your parents

  • Needing something to “need” you

  • To exercise power over something smaller than you

  • So your children can fulfill the dreams you never got to

• Soul intentions for having children:

  • The greatest spiritual growth (children are incredible spiritual awakeners)

  • A very special and unique relationship (parent-child relationship is unlike any other relationship we have!)

  • Part of your life purpose/path

  • You realize the very important responsibility of raising awakened, aware, and emotionally healthy children (for the betterment of the planet)

  • You want nothing other than to raise children who can be their authentic selves

Career

• Ego Intentions for your career:

  • To “prove” your worth

  • Climb the corporate ladder (if not in alignment with your soul)

  • Wanting to be “busier” than others

  • Status/Placing your identity in your job

  • Make money at the cost of others’ wellbeing

  • A way to avoid the real responsibility of facing yourself

• Soul Intentions for your career:

  • To fulfill your life’s purpose

  • To use your gifts to help others

  • To work in alignment with you unique energetic needs

  • To stand in your authentic power

  • Freedom, fulfillment, fun, and financial abundance (not at the expense of others)

Do you see the difference in tone between the ego and the soul’s intentions for manifestations?  When you manifest from the ego, you actually won’t receive what you want. You’ll receive what the ego wants and it won’t be satisfying. 

When you manifest from the soul, you’re likely to receive something beyond your wildest dreams.  The outcome will be much more fulfilling. It will also have a positive effect on others.

Being aware of your intentions help you create the life of your dreams :)

Update: A number of you have asked about how the manifestation workshop went! I have to update the group and say, it was canceled due to not enough interest! At first I felt nervous and sad, but ultimately I think it was for the best, because my body still needs a lot of rest. Plus, whenever there’s a “no” in life, there may be a better “yes” on the way. Mandy and I are planning to do a shortened 1-on-1 workshop in a couple of weeks, and there might be another opportunity in a couple of months to do the full workshop again! I’ll keep y’all posted and thank you all for the support! <3
