How to Manifest Anything You Want
Greetings earthlings!! Now that I am in a big life transition, I have been thinking a lot about the Law of Attraction and how to co-create the life of my dreams. I ended up devouring 3.75 books by Esther and Jerry Hicks on this (they channel a non-physical entity called Abraham); and I wanted to share with you what I’ve learned.
What is the Law of Attraction?
The Law of Attraction is one of the most powerful laws in the universe. The idea is that you can be, do, or have anything you want, and it starts with your thought. You attract what matches the vibrations you put out (based on your thoughts, which yield emotions). In other words, like attracts like, based on your emotions.
This can be further broken down into feeling good, not feeling good, and wanted or unwanted experiences. If you are feeling good and focusing on what you want, you have the opportunity to attract favorable experiences into your field. However, if you are not feeling good or are focusing on what is unwanted, you could be attracting those types of experiences into your life.
Remember when I said your inner world matches your outer world? That is actually the Law of Attraction.
We were all put on this planet to co-create. Meaning, we all have the power to take energy (in the form of emotions, starting at the level of thought) and “manifest” that into our physical reality. Source gave us this power, but a lot of people don’t realize that they can use it.
What are the steps to manifestation?
Ask: humans learn through contrast. So we learn what we do and don’t want through experience. When we experience something we don’t like or want, we shoot rockets of desire (consciously or unconsciously) into the cosmos about what we do want. This is an easy first step, because technically you don’t have to consciously do this step, although it helps to think about what you do want.
Know that your answer remains in the cosmos: When we have desires, the universe listens. So anything you have ever asked for actually already has an answer, which can be quite comforting to know this! In order to receive that answer, go to step 3.
Vibrationally align with what you want: going back to ‘like attracts like’, if we want something, we have to make sure we are energetically (or emotionally) matching that thing. For example, if you want love, you must feel love. If you want money, you must feel abundant. If you want a new job, you must feel grateful for the one you have. Same with friendships. Same with anything. You must feel good first - consistently - before you receive it. Use your imagination to feel!
Believe you can receive: The biggest mistake we all make in manifestation is that we block ourselves from receiving by not believing. Like I said before, the cosmos already has your checklist, and you just have to be open to receiving. Gratitude is a great practice that helps you receive what you want!
Take inspired action: receive any intuitive guidance that will lead you to what you want!
When your desire, beliefs about your manifestation happening, and your expectations to receive your manifestation all line up, that’s usually when you receive what you are wishing for.
Just also want to mention - it is okay to have desires!! It is more than okay actually. Every time you launch a rocket of desire into the universe, you are actually making an improvement in your life, and that positively impacts the universe. The universe then expands into more and more possibilities. Source wants you to have desires so that you can practice co-creating more and more beautiful things.
Gaining Positive Momentum
When you are in the process of manifesting, practicing a lot of gratitude and joy will assist you.
From there, you will create positive momentum. One way to know that you are on the right track is by watching for signs. For example, if you are manifesting a relationship, perhaps you start to see bird couples outside or happy human couples when you are out and about.
Additionally, as you feel more positively, you will likely start doing more activities that give you joy. For example, perhaps you start baking more or taking an art class. Enjoying just to enjoy.
These are all signs that you are on the right track.
What if I feel frustrated or impatient or annoyed about my manifestation not working?
I know this feeling, and I know what to tell you. Oftentimes when we think about desires, we actually focus on the “lack of” the desire, which makes us feel bad. We often mistake this “feeling bad” for not feeling worthy of the desire, or wanting to totally give up. I have been here before so many times. Unfortunately, this keeps us in a holding pattern of not receiving what we want.
Remember, the idea is to vibrationally align and focus on what you DO want and to hold that vibration.
Additionally, some of the best manifestations do take a bit longer! That makes them that much sweeter when they do occur 🙂
The Vibrational Ladder
Feelings can be divided into two categories for simplification: lower and higher vibrational feelings.
Higher vibrational feelings look like this: joy/love/gratitude > positive expectations > contentment optimism > hopefulness
Lower vibrational feelings look like this: boredom > pessimism > frustration > anger > revenge > depression > guilt > grief
When you find yourself lower on the scale, you can quickly tell by sensing your feelings. You can then consciously choose the next best feeling thought (potentially close to where you are on the scale yet slightly further up) and then work your way back up to feeling good again.
You can’t get there from here
If your vibration drops, it’s really hard to jump from low to high very quickly. Meaning, you cannot go from depression to joy instantaneously. It’s just not possible and it’s unfair to your feelings.
What If I Get Stuck on a Negative Feeling?
This happens! We are all human and apt to not feel good sometimes. You may just need to really feel into your emotions and process anything that is sticking with you.
I would never tell anyone to skip over their feelings, because they are really important!!
Do I have to be happy 24/7? Absolutely not! This is more about choosing the next best feeling thought and consciously moving up the vibrational ladder, as it feels comfortable to you.
Eventually, your baseline vibration will start to match where you want to be, and that’s when life really gets delicious.
Taking Inspired Action
It is said that once you have aligned vibrationally with what you want, you may receive nudges from the universe to take action. Perhaps you feel called to reach out to an old colleague who is at a new company for a new job. Or you feel called to reactivate your dating profile. Or you feel called to join a bowling group and make friends there!
But also, if you are consistently matching the highest vibrations, you will see smaller things working in your favor too. Like receiving free pizza coupons, or a random act of kindness. Maybe you get a free tree from Root Nashville and it’s your favorite tree of all time!
Life wants to work in your favor, so let it!!
Closing Remarks
We were all put here on Earth to experience life and through our experiences, create more and more desires specific to what we want. This is how the universe expands and how more opportunities open up.
Also -there is enough to go around! There is enough money, love, friendship, health, you name it. It’s there. Why wouldn’t there be?! We are all connected to a Source of unlimited abundance. That’s why we co-create! It’s all very possible, which is why I am writing this post!
