Happy New Year everyone!! Hope everyone had a restful and joyful new year celebration!
2022 was a magical yet somewhat tumultuous year. It was the year I transitioned out of a traditional job and started my dreams of doing heart-centered work. I’d say I’m definitely enjoying it so far :)
For today, I’m going to review the 5 best spiritual books that I read in 2022. Here we go!
#1: Becoming the One by Sheleana Aiyana:
This book was quite revolutionary for me on my spiritual path as it details the new paradigm of “conscious partnership”, where two conscious souls come together, recognizing their individual divine sovereignty as whole and complete people. There is no “you complete me”. Or “you must fill my voids”. Or “you must act in a way that is pleasing to me for me to feel secure”.
This is where I learned about childhood abandonment wounds in romance and dating, as well as how to recognize, reparent, and heal your inner child. Being on a spiritual path means confronting your fears, judgements, and limiting beliefs about yourself, and learning to heal them so you can love yourself more and be free. It’s not easy work. It can feel really lonely sometimes, like you’re the only person who is healing.
How do you heal and be in relationship? This book showed me that I didn’t have to be completely healed to be in conscious partnership, anybody can call in their love, and for that, I felt a lot more whole and complete after reading it.
#2: The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron
This book taught me the importance of honoring my inner artist. It’s a 12-week workbook that contains questions and activities for the creative soul on recovering their “blocked” artist. According to Cameron, everybody is a creative being. Yes, everybody. And we access our inner artist through our inner child.
We often get conditioned to think we aren’t creative, but that’s totally untrue. We all come from a Creative Source, and are given creative gifts to use while we’re here on Earth. This book inspired me to continue writing, start painting, and start baking more. I consider this book life-changing. I cannot recommend this book enough.
#3: Money, and the Law of Attraction by Esther and Jerry Hicks
I picked this book up shortly after leaving my job at the VA, and it has totally changed how I relate to money. You see, we are taught to believe that we have to “earn” our share, there’s not enough to go around, etc. But the book showed me that by tapping in, tuning in, and turning on to my Highest Self, you can attract abundance in any way which way using the Law of Attraction.
We all have access to abundance and divine inheritance and it’s a matter of honing our vibration to receive what we desire. Knowing my vibration matters more than the things I “do”, this was revolutionary info for my new dream life :)
#4: The Vortex by Esther and Jerry Hicks:
This is another Law of Attraction book based on relationships, how to call in your perfect love, as well as how to better relate to others (for example in friendship, family members, etc). By getting into and maintaining vibrational alignment with your Highest Self, you can receive and maintain loving and fulfilling relationships. It also taught me that the best way to confront conflict is to get into vibrational alignment with your Highest Self first.
As you do so, you start to see others through the eyes of Source (with love and appreciation). Then you can tend to the conflict with more love and kindness, if necessary.
Either others around you will increase their vibrations to match you (and your relationship improves), or they will vibrate out of your sphere. On a spiritual path, it’s common to see friendships fall out of your sphere as you grow and change, and this is because your vibration has changed. Knowing this information gave me a lot of peace.
#5: Happy Days by Gabrielle Bernstein:
This book was instrumental in showing that spiritual teachers suffer, too. Gabby details the traumas that she endured as a young child (childhood sexual trauma) and into adulthood (addiction), as well as the deep healing work she has done on herself and with trained professionals to manifest more love, peace, and prosperity in her life.
It was helpful for me to see such a powerful manifestor tell the story of her spiritual journey. It made her seem more relatable to me and I felt comforted by that.
Conclusion
If you know me at all, you know I love a good book. I believe books can be extraordinary spiritual teachers - the right ones find you at the right times.
While 2022 was a rollercoaster of a year, I’m happy to have increased my own consciousness by reading books that could open up my mind to new possibilities in life.
I’m excited to use the principles I’ve learned and read more amazing books in 2023.
I’d love to hear from you! What were your favorite books of 2022? Have you read any of the books above? Do any of them stand out to you now?
Lots of love,
Angeli
“Every book, every volume you see here, has a soul. The soul of the person who wrote it and of those who read it and lived and dreamed with it. Every time a book changes hands, every time someone runs his eyes down its pages, its spirit grows and strengthens.” - Carlos Ruiz Zafon
